Educational dinners are a series of educational presentations hosted at restaurants around the state. Facilitators are clinicians, national advocates, and industry experts. Educational dinners enable those affected by inherited bleeding disorders to connect with people from their local community, as well as learn about a range of relevant topics.

HACA/VHF Advocacy Committee Virtual Chat

Join the HACA/VHF advocacy committee as we present our first in a series of virtual chats. These chats will focus on advocacy topics relevant to the bleeding disorders community. During the first virtual chat, we will discuss the disposition of legislation we followed during the 2020 General Assembly session including bills we opposed and supported and we will also attempt to predict what might happen when the General Assembly returns on April 22nd. We will also spend some time talking about how COVID-19 is affecting you and yours as we maintain social distancing measures. Join VHF, HTC staff and mentor families for a virtual program for new families! This program is designed to support families of infants and young children with hemophilia and other inherited bleeding disorders with community connection and education. This program is for families with children who have been diagnosed with an inherited bleeding disorder in the last 7 years.

Get Up and Move is a program focused on maintaining joint health through exercise. This program will be presented by Dr. Jeffrey Kallberg, an experienced physical therapist and hem A patient. Through this program, we hope to inform you on three areas: how joints work, how your body moves, and simple exercises that you can do to help strengthen your joints and maintain joint health.
