We are three weeks away away from our 2021 VHF Unite for Bleeding Disorders Virtual Walk and we need your help to build unity with our community!
Why does the Smith Family walk?
“My husband Don has hemophilia. While I had heard the word prior to meeting him, I didn’t realize all the potential health concerns that living with this disorder could present. Thankfully, he is able to manage it well. By getting connected to the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation, I was able to gain confidence, support & friendship through the people I met, the educational programs they offer and the sense of “family” through the community events they host. Being part of this incredible community has also shown me the hope it provides to new families just learning to navigate the needs of their child, as well the confidence a young adult gains through programs and camps where they can learn more and interact with other kids faced with the same challenges. I support VHF for all these reasons and more and am thankful to be part of such an amazing organization.”

We encourage you to join us over Zoom on Sunday, October 17th at 1pm for a fun program where we will recognize top fundraisers, enjoy entertainment from Jonathan the Juggler, and unite together as a community! Afterwards, we encourage you to take a walk in your neighborhood with family and friends!
You are an important part of VHF and our mission. We have a big goal to raise $20,000 from our event participants this year through donations, team sponsorships and matching gifts- can you help us make it all the way by joining or starting a walk team today, or making a donation to one of our wonderful teams? You have raised an amazing $8,786 so far!
If we had just twenty new participants start teams and raise $250 each-we would raise an additional $5000!
#unitewalkvhf2021
All funds raised will stay 100% local to VHF! The Unite Walk is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and the money raised helps support our educational and social events, our scholarship program, and our financial assistance program!
THANK YOU! Whether you choose to walk or to support a team, we are grateful for you.
