Annual Meeting – Community Member Registration

June 21 @ 6:00 pm - June 23 @ 12:00 pm

VHF’s Annual Meeting brings together the inherited bleeding disorder community to share information on a wide variety of topics and it is a great opportunity for networking and support for individuals and families. Annual Meeting Highlights Include: Sessions on advocacy and storytelling, gene therapy, understanding von Willebrand Disease, and a presentation from Perry Parker – PGA Golfer and Gettin’ in the Game Athlete; Lyman Fisher Scholarship recognition; VHF chapter updates; on-site children and teen programming; and on-site childcare for 5 and under.

Saturday, June 22nd | 8:00 am: Annual Meeting registration and breakfast begin (meeting will conclude by 5:00 pm) Go here to see the meeting agenda for adults.


Other Programs You Do Not Want To Miss!

Friday, June 21st | 6:00 pm: Community dinner at Natural Bridge Hotel and then family movie night under the stars (weather permitting). All Friday evening activities are optional and are not a part of the annual meeting.

Saturday, June 22nd | 6:30 pm: Educational Dinner “The Science of Connection” at the Natural Bridge Hotel. Educational dinner is optional and is not a part of the annual meeting.

Saturday, June 22nd | 9:00 pm: Community event – Natural Bridge “Drama of Creation” light show. Community event is optional and is not a part of the annual meeting.

Sunday, June 23rd | 8:00 am: Educational breakfast ” Spotlight on Unaffected Family Members” at the Natural Bridge Hotel. Educational breakfast is optional and is not a part of the annual meeting.

Sunday, June 23rd | 10:00 am: Community event – wagon rides at VA Safari Park. Community event is optional and is not a part of the annual meeting.

Overnight accommodations at Natural Bridge Hotel are available on Friday, June 21st and Saturday, June 22nd. Educational programs, scheduled meals, community events, and overnight accommodations are provided at no cost for constituents that live in the VHF coverage area. There is a $25 registration fee per family.

Hotel Assistance: VHF will provide a two-night; one-hotel room stay per family for the annual meeting for those constituents who live more than 30 miles away from the program meeting site. Families may request additional hotel room nights at their own expense. Some families may be larger than what a typical hotel room can accommodate, and 2 hotel rooms may be needed for these families. Families that need more than one hotel room and are unable to financially afford the cost can apply for hotel financial assistance that will be reviewed by the patient assistance committee. Families and individuals must be able to attend the entire meeting to be eligible for assistance. Email heather@vahemophilia.org for more information.
