The Hemophilia Association of the Capital Area (HACA), the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation (VHF) and Camp Holiday Trails are teaming up again for Camp Youngblood in 2023 and registration is now open!

Who is Eligible: Camp Youngblood at Camp Holiday Trails (CHT) is for children ages 7-17 with inherited bleeding disorders, their siblings, and children of members of the inherited bleeding disorder community that reside within the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation (VHF) or Hemophilia Association of the Capital Area (HACA) coverage area.
What is Camp Youngblood: A week-long overnight camp where kids age 7-17 enjoy a week of fun and learning with others that are faced with similar challenges and life experiences. Go here to see a video made by VHF/HACA teens on the importance of Camp Youngblood at Camp Holiday Trails
What Camp Holiday Trails has to offer: Canoeing, Fishing, Swimming, Horseback Riding, Nature Trails, Climbing Wall, Zip Line, Arts, Crafts, Drama, Music, Dance, Sports, Cabins with AC, Delicious Meals, Campfires, Fully Equipped Med Korner, and more!
Cost: $25 registration fee (per family)
Pre-screening: The enrolling parent or guardian will fill out a short prescreening survey to determine eligibility (this is required for all applicants, even returning campers). Eligibility is based on the Camp Youngblood Program Guidelines. » Go here to read 2023 Camp Youngblood Program Guidelines

Registration & Application Deadlines:
March 31 – All parts of online application must be complete.
April 28 – All camp paperwork must be finalized and medical assessment due (this includes proof of COVID-19 vaccination). If you have questions or concerns, contact CHT directly at program@campholidaytrails.org or 434-977-3781.
May 8 – Acceptance to Camp Youngblood and/or the waitlist will be sent out via email by CHT to applicants.
May 15 – Deadline for written response confirming intent to attend camp via email from applicant to CHT.
May 22 – Acceptance to Camp Youngblood and/or the waitlist will be sent out via email by CHT to applicants, including link to pay $25 registration fee.
June 5th – Welcome email from CHT to all campers with confirmed spots.
