HAMPTON – Community Event at Buckroe Beach Park

June 25, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

RSVP HERE

VHF community events are social and educational gatherings that occur throughout the year. These events bring together the Virginia inherited bleeding disorders community and are an excellent opportunity for networking, support, increasing knowledge, and for fun for all ages. These programs are designed for VHF constituents (and their immediate family and/or household members only) lunch will be provided and there is no fee to attend.

What to Expect: A picnic style lunch, a playground for the kids, games, education, networking with new and old friends, and plenty of time to enjoy the beach (we have reserved the private Starfish Shelter close to the beach that will be available until 7 pm).

Buckroe Beach Park borders the magnificent Chesapeake Bay with three-quarters of a mile of clean beach with lifeguards on duty (in season) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, an observation pier with a shelter, a spacious nautical-themed playground to entertain the children, large restroom facilities with outdoor showers next to the playground and ample open space year round. Note: No electricity or water is available at the shelters.

Thank you to our sponsors – Genentech, VCU-HTC, Novo Nordisk, Sanofi, and Takeda
