The  Central Virginia Center for Coagulation Disorders at VCU in Richmond is excited to announce the addition of two new team members: Taylor O’Neal and Tyresa Drakeford

Taylor O’Neal, BSN, RN, CCRN, recently joined our team as a nurse, bringing a strong foundation in critical care and a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care. Taylor earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing Education from Capella University. She works with both children and adults with bleeding disorders. Prior to this role, she worked at VCU Health System’s Pediatric Surgical Unit and the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She has experience supporting patients and families through complex clinical situations and is dedicated to fostering trust, education, and positive outcomes. Her clinical expertise and compassionate approach make her a valuable addition to our team.

Outside of work, Taylor enjoys reading, exercising, and exploring new restaurants. Taylor’s happy place is the beach!

Tyresa Drakeford, MSW, QMHP, has joined our team as a medical social worker. Tyresa earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Ferrum College and her Master of Social Work from George Mason University. She brings a thoughtful and empathetic approach to supporting patients and their families, helping them navigate the emotional, social, and practical aspects of care. With more than 12 years of experience in social work and a commitment to advocacy, she works to ensure patients have access to the resources and support they need throughout their healthcare journey.

In her free time, Tyresa enjoys experiencing new things with her kids, shopping, and watching murder mysteries.
