The VCU Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) Team extends heartfelt gratitude as we announce the retirement of Lauren Dunn after 22 years of dedicated service. For two decades, Lauren has been a driving force in the bleeding disorders community, making an impact locally, regionally, and nationally. Her leadership helped pass the Skilled Nursing Facilities Act and develop a statewide bleeding disorders assessment, improving access to care and resources for countless individuals.

In addition to her advocacy work, Lauren has served as a chapter volunteer and educator, sharing her expertise to empower patients and families. Her efforts have shaped a more informed and connected community, leaving a lasting legacy of compassion and progress.

In 2023, Lauren was honored with the National Bleeding Disorders Foundation’s Award of Excellence as Social Worker of the Year. This prestigious award reflects her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those affected by bleeding disorders.
