This Giving Tuesday, help us raise $1,400 to purchase four Vain Sim kits—two youth and two adult models. These kits are game-changers for individuals with bleeding disorders, allowing them to safely practice self-infusing. Donate Now!
Why It Matters: Patients with bleeding disorders may need to self-infuse medication at home to prevent or treat bleeding complications. Learning this skill can be intimidating, especially for children. That’s why the Hematology team at Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children developed the VainSim (Venous Access Infusion Simulator).
VainSim allows patients to practice step-by-step the same process they will use to self-administer their medication safely and confidently. With these tools, individuals can build independence and take control of their care.
