VHF would like to warmly thank every person who donated and helped spread awareness for our March Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month Campaign. From news articles to school-wide awareness campaigns to Facebook Fundraisers, you truly banded together as a community of supporters for our members living with inherited bleeding disorders, and we are so grateful.

WOW! Collectively, you raised and donated nearly $5,500 toward the March Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month Campaign and blew our original goal of $2500 out of the water! We fundraised this year on behalf of our Scholarship Program, and your gifts will fully fund two Lyman Fisher Scholarships of $2000 each.   • Community member and Board Member Donald Smith shared his story on how growing up with hemophilia inspired him to work toward an engineering career—and now he helps lands rockets on Mars. He also raised $775 through Facebook for the #BDAM campaign!
  • Community member and advocate Elsa Kendall was interviewed for her school paper at Trinity Episcopal High School and led a school-wide campaign to spread awareness by wearing red on the last Friday in March!
  • Community member, VHF Volunteer of the Year nominee and VHF’s HFA representative George Stone led an amazing Facebook fundraising campaign where he shared his story and brought in well over $1,000 toward the #BDAM campaign.
  • Scholarship winners Soren Johnson, Lamont Banks, Max, Emma and Grace Kaiser and Pat DeRatto all shared the impact of VHF Scholarships on their lives and dreams—we are so thankful for your passion and willingness to share your stories!
