We need your help! March is Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month, and we need your help to spread awareness and raise funds! This year, with your help our goal is to raise at least $2,500 from our amazing community of donors, constituents and supporters that will fund our 2021 VHF Scholarship Program.

When you make a donation to VHF, 100% of your gift stays local in support of YOUR community. Next month, we will be highlighting some of our incredible scholarship winners so you can see just who your gift is helping!

Our first scholarship that we are hoping to fully fund is one of our two Lyman Fisher college scholarships. The Lyman Fisher Scholarship was established to honor Dr. Lyman Fisher: a teacher, researcher, and clinician in hemostasis. For many years, he directed the adult hemophilia program for Virginia. VHF is also proud to be raising funds toward the Terry Lamb Enrichment Scholarship. This scholarship focuses on leadership, volunteerism and/or health promotion and can be used for any program (i.e. camp, educational/life skill classes, fitness programs or activities, etc.) that enhances one’s self-esteem, overall health, leadership skills, areas of interest, development of life skills, and volunteerism.

How can I help?

  • Make a donation to VHF during Bleeding Disorder Awareness Month, anytime from March 1 – April 1 any amount will be greatly appreciated and a special gift will be sent your way just for donating $50 or more.
  • JOIN our monthly Giving Hope Society Program at ANY amount (even $20 a month!) Support VHF by making a monthly gift and you will be part of a special group of people who are committed to VHF’s future by giving hope every day to your community. Your support will make a big impact with our families!
