VHF brought the community together on Sunday, June 8th at Topgolf Virginia Beach for a day filled with education, connection, and fun – with more than 60 attendees joining in! This unique event gave individuals and families affected by inherited bleeding disorders the opportunity to engage in interactive learning, build community, and enjoy a few swings at golf – no experience required.

The event featured an engaging educational session on Comprehensive Care for Bleeding Disorders, including the chance to meet members of the CHKD Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) team. Attendees were able to ask questions, learn more about available services, and gain insight into the holistic approach to managing their health.

In addition to the valuable information shared, families were able to relax and connect with others in a supportive and welcoming environment. The afternoon included lunch, two hours of golf, and activities that encouraged movement, fun, and meaningful connection.

VHF hosts community events like this throughout the year to provide social and educational opportunities that help individuals and families feel supported, informed, and empowered.

Special thanks to our generous sponsors: CSL Behring, Genentech, Novo Nordisk, Optum, Sanofi, and Superior Biologics—and to the Colburn-Keenan Foundation for supporting participation through “bay fees.”

Stay tuned for more events and opportunities to get involved with your bleeding disorders community!
