Are you a community member who would like to deepen your commitment to strengthening the organization by serving on the board? Or are you an individual who is not directly connected to the bleeding disorders community, but has interests, experience, and talents that align with the needs of VHF?
Each year, VHF looks for engaged, qualified candidates to serve a two-year term on our board of directors beginning on July 1st. We believe that the inclusion of various ideas and experiences is critical to the fulfillment of our mission and we seek to ensure our leadership reflects the diversity of the inherited bleeding disorders community.
This year we are especially interested in talking to you if you have experience in law, health and human services, fundraising, finance, and/or advocacy. We are also committed to prioritizing representation from different areas within the VHF coverage area and for those diagnoses that are rare and/or underserved.
All board candidates –
• Must reside in the VHF “Coverage Area”
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Not be employed by a company that manufactures, markets or distributes pharmaceutical products for the treatment of hemophilia or other inherited bleeding disorders.
