NORFOLK-New Family Support & Education Program
We’re transitioning to our new name, Virginia Bleeding Disorders Foundation (VABDF), so you may see both names for a while—thank you for your patience!
Join VABDF and CHKD for a special program designed to support families of infants and young children (age 6 and under) diagnosed with inherited bleeding disorders. This event offers an opportunity to connect with the bleeding disorders community and gain valuable education and resources.
What to Expect:
- Informal education with CHKD-HTC staff with time for Q&A
- Meet staff and members of the Virginia Bleeding Disorders Foundation to learn more about the organization
- A private meeting space for our group
- Refreshments provided for all attendees
- A meet and greet with an Animal Ambassador
- Networking opportunities with other parents and families
- Time to enjoy the Virginia Zoo
Who Can Attend: This program is tailored for families affected by inherited bleeding disorders with children ages 6 and under who reside in the VABDF coverage area and is not open to individuals employed or compensated by Industry.
Please note: Space may be limited, if this event fills up priority will be given to individuals and families that attend CHKD-HTC and/or live in the Tidewater area.
We look forward to providing you with a supportive and welcoming environment to learn, share, and connect!
Thank you to our current sponsors: Takeda, UVA-HTC, and VCU-HTC
