World Hemophilia Day 2025 Wrap-Up |

On April 17th almost 40 members of the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation came together in Williamsburg to recognize World Hemophilia Day. We met at Thai Tara enjoyed dinner and an educational talk on the connection within the global hemophilia community! Two new families were able to attend and meet the community. Everyone had the chance to take a polaroid selfie and catch up with friends and family.

At our April 26th New Family Support and Education Program at the Richmond Metro Zoo, we talked about what self-care really means in this season—not the idealized version, but the small, doable things that help families manage the mental and emotional load of daily life with a bleeding disorder. Medical Symposium at Great Wolf Lodge |

The VHF Medical Symposium is a weekend event designed to educate, empower, and connect members of the bleeding disorders community. Attendees will explore current and emerging treatment options, access to care, and other important medical topics. This event includes educational sessions, on-site childcare, waterpark access, meals, and overnight accommodations—all at no cost to eligible VHF constituents ($50 per household registration fee).
