World Hemophilia Day Educational Dinner

When: Thursday, April 17th, at 6:30 pm

 

What: The 2025 One Family program will focus on the power of connection in recognition of World Hemophilia Day. This family-friendly, all ages program will feature interactive education, hands-on crafts, and time to connect with others. Dinner will be provided and there is no fee to attend.

 

Where: Thai Tara Sushi  Williamsburg, VA – Serving Thai food, Japanese Hibachi, Sushi, and more!

 

Who: This educational dinner is tailored for individuals and families of all ages affected by inherited bleeding disorders who are VHF constituents and their family and/or household members.

New Family Support And Education Program

When: Saturday, April 26th at 10:00 am

 

What: A special program designed to support families of infants and young children with inherited bleeding disorders, featuring education, Q&A, and opportunities to connect with other caregivers. Continental breakfast and admission to the zoo will be provided and there is no fee to attend.

 

Education topic is "Beyond Bubble Baths: Real Self-Care for Caregivers" presented by Sarahbeth Spasojevich, NCC, MA, MBA, MEd.

 

Where: Richmond Metro Zoo in Moseley, VA

 

Who: This program is tailored for families affected by inherited bleeding disorders with children ages 10 and under who reside in the VHF coverage area and is not open to individuals employed or compensated by Industry.

VHF Family Camp Weekend at Camp Holiday Trails

When: Friday May 16th, 5:00 pm - Sunday May 18th, 10:00 am

 

Application deadline - Friday, April 11th

 

What: An unforgettable weekend of connection with other families affected by bleeding disorders while enjoying education, community, and classic camp fun.

 

Where: Camp Holiday Trails (CHT) in Charlottesville, VA

 

Who: This program is designed for families affected by inherited bleeding disorders with at least one child living at home who is between the ages of 5 – 17 who reside in the VHF coverage area and is not open to individuals employed or compensated by Industry.

Camp Youngblood at Camp Holiday Trails

When:  Sunday, July 13th –Friday, July 18th

 

Application deadline - Wednesday, April 23rd

 

What: A week-long overnight camp where kids and teens enjoy a week of fun and learning with others that are faced with similar challenges and life experiences.

 

Where: Camp Holiday Trails (CHT) in Charlottesville, VA

 

Who: This overnight camp is designed for children ages 7–17 with inherited bleeding disorders, their siblings, and children of members of the inherited bleeding disorder community that reside within the VHF or HACA coverage area.
