2024 Camp Youngblood

Camp Youngblood (CYB) Sunday, July 14 – Friday, July 19, 2024! CYB is a week-long overnight camp at Camp Holiday Trails for children ages 7-17 with inherited bleeding disorders, their siblings, and children of members of the inherited bleeding disorder community that reside within the VHF or HACA coverage area.  Application Deadline: 11:59 pm, Wednesday, April 10, 2024

National Bleeding Disorders Foundation (NBDF) Washington Days

Calling all seasoned and aspiring advocates! Wednesday, March 6 – Friday, March 8, 2024, Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill, Washington, DC.  NBDF’s Washington Days is an opportunity for people affected by inherited blood disorders to advocate for issues that are important to them and gather together in person with hundreds of volunteer advocates from across the U.S. to meet with legislators and staff to discuss issues important to our community.

Hemophilia Federation of America (HFA) Symposium

This national family event has become known as a “family reunion” for the bleeding disorders community, allowing community members, their families and caregivers to come together for camaraderie and education Thursday, April 11- Sunday, April 14, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN.

Community Member Spotlight: Paxton Mills

Paxton Mills, a VHF community member and volunteer, is one of the newest members of NBDF National Youth Leadership Institute (NYLI), of the 2023 cohort. Paxton has been actively involved in the bleeding disorders community since her diagnosis with having a rare platelet disorder.
