The Lyman Fisher Scholarship application is now open and VHF is proud to celebrate the incredible accomplishments of Jackson White, a (two time) former Lyman Fisher Scholarship recipient. Currently pursuing graduate studies at the University of Oxford, Jackson is conducting groundbreaking research in genetic therapies for cardiovascular diseases. His work not only exemplifies the talent of our scholarship recipients but also highlights the importance of supporting individuals impacted by bleeding disorders as they strive for excellence.

Jackson’s success is a source of pride not only for VHF but also for his father, Gene White, a dedicated VHF board member. Gene recently shared an update about Jackson’s impressive achievements, expressing how proud he is of the work Jackson is doing. This story reflects the impact of the Lyman Fisher Scholarship, which provides financial support to individuals in the Virginia inherited bleeding disorders community who are pursuing secondary education.

If you or someone you know could benefit from this opportunity, we’re thrilled to announce that the 2025 Lyman Fisher Scholarship application is now open! This scholarship can help pave the way to success, just as it did for Jackson. All materials, including recommendation letters, must be submitted by 5:00 pm on Thursday, May 1, 2025.
