Committees – This year VHF is looking for small work groups comprised of volunteers to help with some of our strategic plan initiatives including our 50th Anniversary Celebration in March 2025, as well as ongoing priorities such as fundraising and development, advocacy, and programming. Board of Directors (BOD) – Each year, VHF looks for engaged, qualified candidates to serve a two-year term on our board of directors beginning on July 1st. We believe that the inclusion of various ideas and experiences is critical to the fulfillment of our mission and we seek to ensure our leadership reflects the diversity of the inherited bleeding disorders community.

This year we are especially interested in talking to you if you have experience in health and human services, fundraising, event planning, communications, finance, and/or advocacy.

All board candidates –
• Must reside in the VHF “Coverage Area”
• Be 21 years of age or older
• Not be employed by a company that manufactures, markets or distributes pharmaceutical products for the treatment of hemophilia or other inherited bleeding disorders.

Next Steps – All interested candidates for committee or board membership are asked to email info@vahemophilia.org or call 804-740-8643 for more information on the application process. Committee chairs will review interested candidates and will reach out no later than July 1st. The board governance committee plans to review applications and interview selected BOD candidates from May 15th – June 1st.
