The Virginia bleeding disorders community needs you. This is your chance to be heard - join us and share your story! Advocacy Training and Richmond Days are an opportunity for people affected by inherited bleeding disorders in the Commonwealth of Virginia to advocate for issues that matter to them. During Richmond Days, the Virginia Hemophilia Foundation (VHF) schedules meetings with individual legislators that allow constituents to advocate and share their story.

A rejuvenating weekend retreat filled with educational programming, yoga, self-care tips and community building. This retreat is open to women age 21 and up with inherited bleeding disorders and/or to women whose lives are impacted by a bleeding disorder (i.e. caregivers, spouses, carriers, immediate family members).

With this event we hope to provide consumers with the knowledge needed to discuss new and current treatment options, the ins and outs of clinical trials, and have conversations around insurance barriers to treatment. To recognize March as Bleeding Disorders Awareness Month and to help the Virginia bleeding disorders community understand what these potential advancements may mean, we are excited to host our Inaugural Medical Symposium in Richmond, VA.

Get active with your bleeding disorders community and join us to learn more about the health benefits of indoor rock climbing! This fun physical activity engages participants in overcoming perceived limitations, increasing self-confidence, recognizing personal strengths and limitations, and examining goal achievement. There is no minimum age or weight restrictions to try out climbing, they have a variety of equipment that can fit all shapes, sizes, and physical abilities. Lunch will be provided.
